Recently I was given a gift; something I have been wanting for many years. This gift encapsulates the power of story to me. Upon the first viewing of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring in my living room I became a fan and student of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-Earth. What I saw on that television set blew me away and I would continue to be blown away as I read the entire trilogy in a weeks time (something I have never been able to duplicate since). Over the years I remained an ardent fan. It takes a true story teller to steal the hearts of the readers long after the teller has died. Tolkien has remained an extraordinary story teller and Peter Jackson took that ability and told the story on the big screen. Yes, even Jackson is an amazing story teller for he brought Tolkien's vision to life and made this fan want a piece of that Middle-Earth that was shaped on the big screen. This Evenstar that was given to me is part of both Tolkien and Jackson's Middle-Earth and due to the power of story I am pleased to have a token of that world.
My Evenstar.
The Evenstar being worn by Arwen (Liv Tyler) in Fellowship of the Ring.

Lucky YOU get your evenstar! Blessed girl! : ) and have to say that thanks to Lord of the Rings, we are friends through distance , no matter, friends anyway and sisters in Him! : )
